Recently, SZSE organized an online investor education and protection training program for member units. Themed with “Reform, Innovation and High-quality Development of Shenzhen Stock Exchange”, the program highlights the achievements attained on SZSE Main Board and ChiNext Board in the course of reform and development, and the high-quality development of SZSE fund market. More than 500 responsible persons and investor education staff from 91 member units participated in the event.

Parallel to its reform and development, SZSE has always attached equal importance to the planning, arrangement and promotion of investor education. Diverse investor education products and activities were offered to explain reform and innovation in all aspects and angles, and to improve investor awareness of rational investment. Accordingly, various pilot projects have been implemented smoothly, including the reform of the ChiNext Board and the pilot project of the registration-based IPO system, the merger of the Main Board and SME Board, and the publicly offered infrastructure REITs. SZSE has given full play to the member units in investor education and urged them to strictly implement the work arrangements of investor education related to major reforms, in order to jointly help investors understand the key points, institutional arrangements and operating mechanism of the reform, and create a mature and rational investment environment for reform and development.

At the event, SZSE summarized its recent reform and innovation work, including the achievements and potential challenges in the reform and innovation of investor education. Concerning the following steps of investor education, SZSE urged the member units to closely follow the trend of capital market development, and consistently implement the plans of CSRC for investor education and protection. Efforts must be made to improve relevant work mechanisms and strengthen the investor education team, so as to identify the needs of investors, carry out tailored investor education programs and ultimately better protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors.

In the future, SZSE will continue to follow Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference. In the capital market, we firmly stand with the people and work hard to fulfill the investors’ needs. With “staying close to investors, understanding the investors and serving the investors” as our guiding philosophy, we will fulfill our role as an efficient market organizer and service provider. Pooling resources in the market and leveraging the investor education advantages of our member units, we will integrate investor education and protection into our business operation and daily routine. Through joint efforts, we will build a healthy and sound market environment, bring the investor education and protection work to a new level, and facilitate the high-quality development of the capital market.
